2. What information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions or activities. Depending on how you use our sites and services, this may include:

  • Identity and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and delivery, billing and pickup addresses.
  • Order information: the products you browse, add to a cart, purchase, return or review; your size, colour, device-model and personalisation choices; and custom artwork or other files you upload when you order a customised product.
  • Account information: your login email, password (stored in encrypted form), order history, saved addresses, wishlist and Jojo Coins balance.
  • Payment information: the payment method you select and the last digits of a card. Full card numbers and credentials are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our servers.
  • Technical and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring website, pages and products viewed, time on page, and how you interact with our pages and emails.
  • Communications: messages, enquiries, reviews, photographs and support correspondence you send us, including WhatsApp conversations.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have asked to receive or stop receiving newsletters, offers and product announcements.
  • Health program enquiries: information you volunteer when you contact Jojo Health, such as treatment interests, medical history summaries and travel plans. Please send only what you are comfortable sharing, and avoid including sensitive details you do not need to.

3. How we collect your information

We collect information in three ways:

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, upload artwork, subscribe to our list, request a quote, leave a review, contact us, or visit one of our showrooms or events.
  • Automatically, through cookies, similar tracking technologies and analytics tools while you browse our sites.
  • From other sources, such as our payment providers, delivery and fulfilment partners, advertising platforms, and referral or affiliate partners, where they are permitted and required to share information with us.

4. Why we use your information

We use personal information for the purposes it was collected, and for related purposes you would reasonably expect, including:

  • Taking, confirming, packing, shipping, delivering, installing, repairing, replacing or refunding an order, and telling you where it has reached.
  • Providing customer service, answering enquiries, handling returns, warranty claims, and resolving complaints.
  • Operating accounts, Jojo Coins, wishlists, saved carts and other features you choose to use.
  • Personalising the sites you see, such as remembering your device model, preferred sizes and recently viewed products.
  • Sending marketing and product news where you have asked for it or where the law otherwise allows, and honouring an unsubscribe request.
  • Keeping our sites secure, detecting spam, fraud and abuse, and protecting the rights, property and safety of Jojo Space, our customers and the public.
  • Improving our products, ranges, pricing, pages and advertising based on aggregated and anonymised usage patterns.
  • Meeting legal, tax, accounting, record-keeping and regulatory obligations, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

We will not sell your personal information. We will not use sensitive information for marketing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our sites use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your choices, and understand how the site is used.

  • Essential cookies: keep your cart and login working, remember your store, currency and display choices, and protect forms from spam. Login cookies last for two days and screen-option cookies for one year; if you choose “Remember Me”, your login persists for two weeks and logging out removes the login cookies. These are set without your consent because the site cannot function without them.
  • Preference cookies: remember items such as your recently viewed products so you do not have to search for them again.
  • Analytics cookies: let us see, in aggregate, which pages and products people reach and where they came from, so we can improve the store.
  • Advertising cookies: let us show our products on other websites and social platforms, and measure whether those adverts work.

You can accept, refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and can usually opt out of personalised advertising through the relevant platform’s settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop carts, checkouts and account pages from working.

6. Embedded content from other websites

Pages on our sites may include embedded content, such as videos, images, product widgets and maps. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website directly: that website may collect data about you, set cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, particularly if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We do not control what those third parties collect. Their own privacy policies apply, and we link to them where we embed their content.

7. Who we share your information with

We disclose personal information only to the people and businesses who help us run Jojo Space, and only as much as they need to do their job:

  • Service providers: hosting and website maintenance, shopping-cart and store software, payment processing, order fulfilment, packing, warehousing, delivery and installation, print and manufacturing partners who produce customised products, email and messaging platforms, customer-service tools, and analytics providers.
  • Our own group and stores: Jojo Space companies and the online stores listed in section 1, so your order, account and support history stay consistent.
  • Advertising platforms: for the purposes described in sections 4 and 5, including measuring campaigns and showing relevant products.
  • Professional advisers: accountants, auditors, insurers, and lawyers.
  • Anyone you tell us to: for example, a recipient at a delivery address or a person you nominate on a gift order.
  • Law enforcement, regulators or courts: where we are required or permitted by law, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others.

All providers are contractually required to handle your information securely and only for the job we give them.

8. Where your information is sent

We are based in Australia and most of your information is processed there. Some of our providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States and elsewhere in Asia, for hosting, analytics, advertising, payment and delivery services.

Before we send information overseas we take reasonable steps so the recipient is bound by obligations substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles, and we remain accountable for how your information is handled.

If you ask us not to transfer your information overseas we will tell you what services we may then be unable to provide.

9. How long we retain your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in section 4, and then securely destroy or de-identify it, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Order, invoice and payment records: seven years, to meet tax and company record-keeping rules.
  • Account details: while your account is open, and for a short period afterwards so you can reactivate it or recover an order.
  • Reviews and photographs you post: while they remain published, unless you ask us to remove them.
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Support and WhatsApp conversations: for the life of the case and a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Uploaded artwork: only for as long as needed to produce and reprint your order.

If you leave a comment or review, the comment and its metadata may be retained so we can recognise and approve follow-ups instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

10. How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted staff and contractor access on a need-to-know basis, two-factor authentication on administrative accounts, automated backups, and monitoring for suspicious activity.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information you send us, and you provide it at your own risk. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the regulator as the law requires.

11. Children and young people

Our sites are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Products such as toy guns and furniture are sold for adult use and household use, and must be supervised as the listing states. If you are under 18, please use our sites with a parent or guardian and ask them before giving us your details. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Your rights and choices

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy in a usable form.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.
  • Erase personal information we hold about you, where we have no lawful reason to keep it.
  • Stop sending you marketing, at any time and free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting us.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information to third parties; we do not sell it.
  • Unsubscribe from a marketing list, or ask that we stop contacting you by a particular channel.

You can also update most account details yourself in your account area. Some information must be kept for tax, warranty or safety reasons and cannot be deleted on request. Verifying your identity may be required before we release a record, and a request can take time to process.

13. Complaints and how to contact us

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us and we will investigate and respond. Please include enough detail for us to find your records.

Email sales@jojo.space, write to Jojo Space Pty Ltd, 89-97 Jones Street, Ultimo, NSW 2007, Australia, or message us on WhatsApp at +1 437 655 9155. We aim to acknowledge a privacy complaint within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001, by phone on 1300 363 992, or through the OAIC website.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version and its date are published on this page, and a material change will be announced on our sites or by email where you have given us your address. Continued use of our sites after an update means the revised policy applies to you.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of our sites and services.
